About Us

We started GPAcalculator.net in 2012 with a simple idea: students should be able to understand their grades without complicated spreadsheets, confusing formulas, intrusive ads, or paywalls.

What began as a simple GPA calculator has grown into a collection of free academic tools used to help students understand where they stand, set goals, and make better decisions about their academic future.

Making Grades Easier to Understand

Grades can have a major impact on everything from course placement and scholarships to college admissions and graduation. But figuring out your GPA or determining what grades you need next – shouldn’t add even more stress.

That’s why our calculators are designed to be simple, fast, and easy to use.

Students can quickly calculate their current GPA with our College GPA Calculator, plan more challenging course loads with our Weighted GPA Calculator, or calculate grades at different stages of their education using tools such as our Middle School GPA Calculator.

For students tracking performance across multiple semesters or years, our Cumulative GPA Calculator makes it easier to see how academic performance adds up over time.

Helping Students Plan Ahead

Knowing your GPA today is useful. Knowing what you need to achieve tomorrow is even more valuable. Our goal is not simply to calculate numbers, but to help students use those numbers to make informed decisions.

Tools such as our Semester GPA Calculator and Target GPA Calculator help students explore questions like:

  • What will my GPA be at the end of this semester?
  • What grades do I need to raise my GPA?
  • How will a future course affect my cumulative GPA?
  • What score do I need on my final exam to reach my target grade?

Our grade calculators extend that same idea beyond GPA, helping students understand assignments, weighted grades, final exams, and overall course performance.

Supporting Different Grading Systems

Grading systems can vary significantly between schools, universities, and countries.

To make those systems easier to understand, we also provide educational resources and conversion tools, including our GPA Scale guide, GPA Conversion resources, SGPA to CGPA Calculator, and CGPA to Percentage Calculator.

These resources are designed to help students better understand unfamiliar grading systems and translate academic results into formats that are easier to interpret.

Built for Students

Everything we build starts with the same question:

Will this make something easier for a student to understand?

We focus on clear explanations, intuitive calculators, accurate calculations, and tools that work quickly on any device. We also believe essential academic tools should be accessible. That’s why our calculators are free to use and do not require students to create an account just to calculate a GPA or grade.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: make academic calculations easier to understand so students can spend less time worrying about the numbers and more time deciding what to do next.

As education and grading systems continue to evolve, we’ll continue expanding and improving our calculators, guides, and academic resources.

Whether you’re calculating your first GPA, planning for college, working toward a scholarship, or preparing for graduation, we hope GPAcalculator.net gives you a little more clarity about where you stand – and where you can go next.

But behind every GPA entered into one of our calculators is more than a number. There is a student working toward something – a college acceptance, a scholarship, graduation, a second chance, or simply the hope of doing a little better next semester.

We know a calculator can’t do the hard work for you. It can’t study for the exam, finish the assignment, or make the difficult decisions along the way.

But sometimes, a little clarity can make the next step feel possible.

If our tools can help one student feel less overwhelmed, understand where they stand, and see a clearer path toward where they want to go, then we’ve accomplished what we set out to do back in 2012.

Your GPA is a number. Your future is much bigger than that.
