GPA Calculation at Marquette University
📘 How GPA Is Calculated
Marquette calculates GPA by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the total number of semester hours credited in courses where grade points are assigned. Each letter grade corresponds to a specific grade point value, which is multiplied by the course’s credit hours to determine the total grade points for that course. The cumulative GPA is the sum of these grade points divided by the total credit hours. It’s important to note that transfer credits do not factor into the Marquette GPA, and the official GPA is not rounded up or down.
